After you file
@klwisaa - you will have to explain more. For the 1040X,
a) the first column should match EXACTLY with your original tax return (adjusted for anything the IRS has already adjusted)
b) the 2nd column are the changes
c) the 3rd column is the result
DO NOT FILE AN AMENDMENT UNTIL THE IRS HAS COMPLETED THE PROCESSING OF THE ORIIGNAL RETURN as they may be making the adjustments that you are amending for...
why do you think the result shoul be exactly $2600.. Can you explain why you are amending?
if you owed $969 (column A) and you are now to get a $2600 refund (column B), then the net effect is you are getting a $1631 refund. is that what is occuring?????
