I had to file an amendment for my 2018 taxes. I filed in late February and it was received on MARCH 7, 2022. My status on "Where's my amended return?" says, " TAKE ACTION". All it says is to call this number and that they received the return on 3/7/22 but it has not been processed. I called and spoke with someone with no issues, they just said I received that message due to it not being processed within 16 weeks. He said once the IRS can review then my status on WMAR will update. He could not give me any type of time frame whatsoever and just said to check monthly. I did receive my state-amended refund on 6/21/22. I am wondering if anyone else has filed around the same time I did receive this message? Have you received your refund at all? Do you have a time frame for your federal return to get to you? I'm hopeful because I received a state that it will be within a month or 2.
