1) do not amend until the original tax return has been processed. It may make matters worse if the iRS adjusts something that you weren't expecting.
2) on the stimulus, tell me more about that. Are you stating that you received the stimulus in March - May, 2021 for this 'dependent' or are you stating that you claimed the Recovery Rebate Credit on Line 30 for Form 1040 for the 2021 tax year. Your answer makes a difference in how to proceed. Please respond. What is on Line 30 of the tax return you submitted?
