After you file

IRS received my amended 2020 return on 3.3.2022.

Today I got this message (as most have) 

Ext. 623 is a status check and when I press 1 for a representative the recording says they cant handle the call volume (paraphrased).  If I can ever reach a human - will they have any additional info or is it a waste of time to call???
