The way TPG sends out the checks, it ensures that it’s not forwarded to a new address. I’m guessing to cut down on any possible fraud. I requested for TPG to send my funds back to the IRS today. The rep said it should take approximately 2 weeks. I submitted an amend through TurboTax to update my address with the IRS. I’ll be working on getting in contact with the IRS this week to confirm everything is good on their end. It’s definitely been a long excruciating process but I’m not getting discouraged. All things happen for a reason even when we don’t see it at the moment. Hoping you have the best luck with your situation as well.
