I just got an unexpected refund, no letter yet, so I got my transcript and it is explained by the IRS reducing my underpayment penalty from what I submitted with TurboTax.
Now I don't know if I should go back and change my return? I don't see the need, and I do see possible hazards.

I have read that one cause of unexpected checks is scammers who then pester you for the money, sometimes posing as IRS. So it's a good idea to clarify what's going on.
