E-file status pending - should I send it by mail?
Hello.
I received a notice that my e-file was rejected with IND-181-01 (IP PIN is missing) on 4/21 and I resubmitted on TurboTax after I got the new PIN on IRS website. It was 36 hours ago and my e-file status is still pending.
In the meanwhile, TurboTax sent me an email last night as below. It was1AM in my local time so it makes me think it reflects the most recent status. There is 'Fix and re-file my return' button in the email but the web page with the link shows "You filed your 2021 taxes." and the status pending.
Can I just ignore this email and wait until it's accepted or should I mail the print today?
"CRITICAL REMINDER: Your tax return needs to be corrected and re-filed"
Until a return is accepted, the government considers your rejected return as not filed.
You only have until April 23, 2022, to update and resubmit your rejected return.
