The government says my turbotax calculated refund amount is wrong

I Just checked on the irs.gov site to check the status of my federal refund. (I received my state refund a couple weeks ago). On the site it says they 'adjusted' my return and instead of getting back 1300 I now owe 1400. I called and a woman said 'We removed your recovery rebate' so that's probably why. I pointed out that the recovery rebate is non-taxable so it should have no bearing at all on my taxes. Then she said my withholdings probably wasn't enough. (probably?) My withholdings never changed in 38 years and I never owed. I did receive social security in 2020 as well as a paycheck but I claimed that. TurboTax estimated refund dropped from 1900 to 1300 when I entered the social security benefits so it seems like that was all working correctly as well. This person was no help in explaining why my turbotax refund was off by 2700 dollars. How can I find out what happened?
