After you file

I had the same problem this year which I never had before.  TurboTax asked for my wife's prior year AGI???  We've filed married joint returns for years without this issue.  I agree it's a TurboTax problem that they need to fix ASAP.  TurboTax shouldn't be asking me to insert my wife's AGI considering we've always filed a joint return so there's only one AGI for the both of us.  On top of that, TurboTax automatically populates the window with the answer which is the AGI from the joint return from the previous year.  I let it go as I thought TurboTax was correct in inserting the previous year's AGI for both of us.  THE RETURN WAS REJECTED, yikes!!

I did some homework on theTurboTax website for this issue & read where numerous taxpayers were over riding the automatic AGI TurboTax inserts with $0 when their wife's name appeared.  It seemed to work for many others so I tried it & thank the Lord, it worked..what a relief compared to having to print up (3) separate returns & mailing them out (1 Federal + 2 states).  It's especially frustrating because when you buy TurboTax, you get a free e-file included & if you need additional states, you may have already paid (which I did) for extra state e-files before you know that your Federal Return got rejected & therefore they all are rejected!!!

Please fix this issue TurboTax...it's not fair to your customers that have to go through this stress & frustration, thanks.
