I received a notice from IRS that there was an error on my tax return. I talked with an IRS respresentative on 4/15/2022 and they advised that turbotax had given me a $2100 dollar credit on the stimulus package, which was an error. They also advised that they have had a number of complaints about turbotax and this problem. Turbotax said I was to get a $125.00 return and when the error was corrected I owed $1975.65. This is unacceptable and I feel that Turbotax should pay this amount for their program error. Advise me as soon as possible about your error. I have already paid the IRS as to avoid any further penalties or interest.
