Thank you for your message and your reply. I was concerned about making a mistake and wanted to correct it as soon as I was able to show I'm putting a good faith effort into correcting my error (aka - I didn't want to have an audit get triggered because I made a mistake). 

What I am hearing is that I should wait for my return to be fully processed, see what, if anything has been corrected on the IRS side (for example the AdvCTC) and then create an amendment to update anything that was missed on the IRS side so my taxes are accurate and up to date with them. 

If/when this is needed I can then access the amendment information via my desktop application, with the Other Tax Situations category. I will make note of that for my future self. Thanks once again for your response.
