Did you e-file your return? Generally, if you e-file your return, acceptance or rejection of your return may happen within 48 hours. xmasbaby0 is correct in that if you decide to mail your return, you will need to include your W-2(s), and 1099s. Regarding mailing returns, the IRS has stated:
- Due to staffing issues, processing paper tax returns could take several weeks longer. Taxpayers and tax professionals are encouraged to file electronically.
