I'm being told to take a document to a notary that the check wasn't received or cashed, get it notarized, and send it back. But it's a reissuance fee of $30 which it's not my fault it's not received so I don't see how anyone is legally charged that plus notary fee for the document. Any way around this other than still waiting for something that might not show up? Will calling enough make them take the fee off or something?
