Mike9241….
I already received a letter from the IRS detailing my refund and the amount of my refund. I believe I mentioned that….
for those who didn’t see it… I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM THE IRS DETAILING MY REFUND AND THE AMOUNT….
may refund is over $3000 short of what the IRS said it would be. This is not an accounting error on my part (or most of the people who are lodging these complaints). This is not an IRS error… this is TurboTax and it’s affiliate withholding money that does not belong to them. If this were an issue early on and it was corrected immediately, that would be one thing and we could chalk it up to some digital/computing error. But this is ongoing and is continuing to happen, the problem has not been dealt with or corrected, which means it is deliberate on the part of both companies.
Mike, this issue is obviously affecting thousands of TurboTax users…. With the amount of funds being withheld (for no viable reason) this is a Federal Complaint.
TurboTax believes it is untouchable by the law since it hides the arbitration agreement so far down now one realizes it is there…. However there is no prohibition of filing criminal charges of theft, fraud and racketeering. If you received your full refund…. Good for you! The rest of us are fighting for the money we earned and are due.
