I didn't receive any advanced child tax credit payments, which could be due to our income is beyond $150,000.

In addition,  one of  my child has SSN, another one has ITIN, so the overall child tax credit could be 2000 + 500 = $2500, not sure why IRS said it could be just $1500.

 

Here are those possible reasons listed in the letter:

1. The computation of the credit on Schedule 8812 was incorrect.

2. The amount on Schedule 8812 was not transferred correctly to yourself tax return

3. You received advance child credit payments but did not reconcile them or reconciled them incorrectly.

 

It's not #3 as I explained, and I think it's also not #1, not sure what does #2 mean? any idea?
