After you file

We all want our taxes to be as accurate as possible, but those changes would only make a difference of a penny or two.  The IRS is not interested in this small amount, and I expect that they will totally ignore it. 

 

In the worst case, they would send you a letter stating the discrepancy and a bill for a nominal amount. It wouldn't be worth the cost of a postage stamp.

 

I do not recommend that you file an amended return based on that adjustment.
