"I am using a download of Turbo Tax Basic, as I have for many years."
All the answers above assumed you were using Online TurboTax, as does the FAQ and video. So disregard much of what references "online." Sorry for all the confusion.
By the way, the reason your online account had fewer items in the left column menu than see in the video is because the extra items in that left column menu are only seen when an online return is open. Forget about everything online. It doesn't apply to you when using the desktop software. The 2 products are independent and do not communicate with each other.
You said the rejection error code is "IND-032-34". Is that a typo? is it really "34", or did you mean "04", i.e., IND-032-04?
If the "fix it" takes you to correct your spouse's AGI, and if you are the primary taxpayer on the return, then it must think "your" AGI is correct but hers isn't. It won't show you your AGI on that particular correction screen, since apparently yours is not an issue.
When you tried efiling with the 2020 total AGI for both of you (i.e, the same total amount for each of you), if you got the rejection IND-032-04, then it's saying the spouse's 2020 AGI doesn't match the IRS database (that's assuming you entered the 2020 AGI correctly and didn't simply mistype the AGI.)
Since it failed when you used the actual 2020 total AGI for both of you, then try using the total 2020 AGI for yourself, and an AGI of 0 (zero) for the spouse. If you already had previously entered the total 2020 AGI for yourself, then all you need to do is change the spouse AGI to 0. If all of that is your situation, then I'd enter a 0 on that screen you showed above and click "Continue."
