After you file

I Tried calling just a few minutes before 7 and still didn't get through to the IRS.  I've been calling multiple times per day for weeks now and still have never gotten through even when calling the minute they open or a minute before they close.  have been using the advice that can be found on various web pages that is supposed to get you a live person (1 for English then 2-1-3-2-wait for them to ask for your social twice then -2-4)  I do have some good news, though.

The still processing message with no status bar that I had been seeing for a couple of weeks is finally gone.  The Bar is back and shows that my refund has been approved and is scheduled to be deposited by March 28th.  It has been 1 month and 5 days since I filed.  March 28th will be 6 weeks which is alot longer than I wanted but at least I have some information on it now.  Not knowing was the worst part before... I should tell you that they did revise my refund and reduce by 160 dollars.  I don't know why.... it's so hard to fight the IRS, or even get any information from them that I've decided I'll just accept the revised amount.  Them being able to look at it and revise it makes me wonder why the heck I have to file anything at all.  THey obviously just did my taxes themselves and are sending me what they think I should get, so why do I even need to file anything?  I'm sure there are reasons that some people need to, but it certainly shouldn't be required for everyone.  anyways, just wanted to update everyone.  Patience and acceptance seems to be the only path for any of us here.
