I hope you're right.  There is other info out there in other forums that this change to the refund status comes when they have found some kind of issue and that issue has caused them to stop working on your return.  Some suggest it could be weeks before they figure out the issue and start working on it again and others claim that when this has happened to them it was eventually followed up with letters and notices requesting proof of various things...  I had a similar happening in 2019 and didn't get my refund until October that year... it also went from 4k to 80 dollars mostly because I couldn't provide "sufficient proof" that my 2 year old son lived with me and my spouse... anyways, I guess that doesn't really matter.  Just bitter about it still and a little fearful of something like that happening again this year since there is no way to contact the IRS to find out what is going on and my family needs this tax return much more than it has needed previous ones....
