No, you should not delete it. If you used TurboTax in 2020, then the state refund from your state tax return would have been rolled over to this year's return. If it is not taxable, it will not show up on your 1040 (Schedule 1, Line 1).

 

To confirm it is not on your 1040, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Open your return.
  2. Click on Tax Tools on the left hand side.
  3. Click on Tools.
  4. Click on View Tax Summary.
  5. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left hand side.
  6. Look at your 1040, Schedule 1, Line 1. 

If your state refund is deemed by TurboTax to not be taxable, then Line 1 will be blank.
