Per IRS Filing Amended Taxes Tax Year 2019, 2020 and 2021 1040 and 1040-SR returns can be amended electronically at this time. This is from the current IRS web site.
Yet, Turbo Tax does not allow filing date to be entered later than 12/31/21. And thus does not allow the e-file to be transmitted.
IRS saids one "should contact your preferred tax software provider to verify their participation and for specific instructions needed to submit your amended return and to answer any questions."
QUESTION: When is TTax going to update the Tax Year 2020 program to allow e-filing past 12/31/21 in keeping with the new IRS directive?
