IRS adjusted taxes
I was checking on my return and found out that after logging into the IRS website that they adjusted my return and now I owe. I know where the mistake was and is related to letter 6475. I only received one letter and not for my wife and we file married jointly. So the amount I entered was correct as I was missing the other amount for my wife. The letter 6475 arrived much later for my wife and that's where the mistake was. IRS corrected and will mail a letter, but they said it was mailed on 2/28 and I have not seen anything yet. I agree with the amount already and know what I owe. Can I just go to the IRS website and submit a payment or do I have to amend my taxes and resubmit again? When I log onto the IRS website it still does not show the amount I owe where I can pay? I thought it would by now?
