I have an interesting situation. I am trying to amend my 2018 return to include a couple of schedule K-1s for me and a family member I claimed as a dependent (who had no earned income that year). The problem is that that year, I didn't file the original return with Turbotax, so I can't amend using the program. Thus, I am trying to do this using form 1040-X. I'm still not sure quite how to even report the info from the K-1s on 1040-X, and the IRS's instruction sheet doesn't seem to be sufficiently explaining how I would go about it. Does anybody know of a specific site where I can get a walkthrough of how to do this? I have never filed physical tax forms before, and this stuff can get really confusing. Thanks for any assistance you can provide.
