It depends. If you have already filed your tax return, you will need to wait for the IRS to process your return. They will adjust your return and notify you. If you haven't filed your return yet, log in to your TurboTax and make sure you have your return open:
- Click on Search
- Type "Recovery Rebate Credit" in the search box
- Hit Enter
- Click on "Jump to Recovery Rebate Credit"
- Answer "Yes" to " Did you [or Spouse] get a third stimulus payment?
- This should take you to a screen that says " Let's double-check the amount you received"
- Answer "No" and enter the amount you received
