Sorry, it was form 2210 since I owed taxes this year our lovely Government wants to access me with an Underpayment Penalty (wonder if I can access THEM a penalty when I OVERpay and am due a refund) . . .  damned if you do, damned if you don't.

 

This is not a typical form saved under PDF and the only way I could get the figure is by accessing my 2020 tax file, hence the reason why I was attempting to open my 2020 .tax file.  Again, every other application I've ever used, been in Tech since 1999, whether it be a Windows or Apple program, has been able to access files created by older versions. 

 

Heck, my Inlaws had an Intel 8088 back in the day that booted off floppy disks.  To this day they can still access documents they created back then.
