Thank you for the response. Clarification, I paid the $1,000 as was originally requested. When the tax code changed the $1,000 owed changed to a credit of $900. I'm sure I messed up on the refiling but the IRS refunded the $900 but they held onto the $1,000 I paid as well. Said another way, if I never paid the $1,000, they still would have refunded the $900. So how do I refile/amend the 2020 filing to note that we paid the $1,000?
