@Rmoynier Filing with any other tax preparation company will produce the same result. The Federal and State tax returns are paid for and filed at the same time; that is true. However, each entity processes them separately. Either entity can (and sometimes does) delay their refund for any reason at all, and they may or may not disclose why they do so. So what you actually read was that the two returns are filed together, and that is true.
