I know this might have been talked about but I am not sure this is just me, is there any reason why my return is rejected because of the code? Is it an error?
Description of error:
Schedule A (Form 1040), 'Total Charitable Contri Amt' must be equal to the sum of the following: 'Gifts By Cash Or Check Amt' and 'Other Than By Cash Or Check Amt' and 'Carryover From Prior Year Amt'
What needs to be done:
This return cannot be filed at this time due to a processing error that will be corrected on February 10, 2022. On or after February 10, 2022 open the rejected return, review it for errors, and resubmit the return for electronic filing.
