funny thing is that I did nothing to the return... simply filed with TT and hit submit - it was a surprise to me when IRS said they had no form 8936 (which is bit longer of a story, but I figured that out i conversations with TT and IRS. but... the tax document that I can download from TT clearly shows the form.
The frustrating thing is that now, I have to figure out this 1040-X (what in the world is a non-refundable credit?? - asking rhetorically).
Kind of asking here on this forum to raise attention and see if I can at least get a refund from TT for my fee from last year - anyway, its probably futile, but every time I spend 30 minutes trying to figure out the 1040-X, I get annoyed that the reason I pay TT is so that I don't have to spend my time figuring this out...
