No worries. I’ve been using turbo tax for 10 years now and until this year I figured it was fool proof well I’m a fool because I’ve found more mistakes from 2020 return and 2019 as well. So I pay for the deluxe service and get premium service and once I received my first IRS letter back in April 2021 stating it’s under review to check irs website for updates and don’t call the IRS until 90 days.
so the deluxe turbo tax premium service lets you have a tax Audit person and that’s the name of the service Tax Audit I downloaded the app called got a lady sent her a picture of my form and she said ok it’s only a review not a audit. But she can’t tell me what they are reviewing. Keep checking website for my current updates. So I check nothing waiting expecting a refund turbo tax accepted return automatic withdrawal. I owe the state and going to pay with refund nope state takes their fee no big deal then turbo tax Emails me and says I owe them still and it will come out when tax deadline is over now why should I pay them for allowing my refund to go through with these mistakes and they can’t help me their deluxe premium upgrade can’t tell why my return is being reviewed so pointless.
irs to this day has same message displayed from April. I’ve called numerous times and got through I’ve got a hardship case through the irs tax advocate service and she told me my errors and sent this letter telling me to do amend 1040x and where to send care of. I call tax Audit ( turbo tax premium) and can’t do anything until another letter comes. I’m done.
IRS blames Covid for back log and no staff . But it’s ok that I’m the one trying to get my taxes done but can’t so ridiculous.
