After you file

I can't tell from your instructions but I think you're assuming there's an option to click on a previous return once I click 'I need to amend my 2020 return'. That's my guess, it's not stated above. Once I click to amend (the second to last image you have) I now have the option to add a new w-2. If I add it, that will be the only info that's provided, it will show my name as blank and a blank address and I (and the TT rep on the phone several times) doesn't know what to do. That's why I was asking if you could give a detailed step by step of what you click on each time. I'm sorry if this is frustrating but it's 100x worse for me to spend this much time because of a software error.
You are not understanding There is no "option" - you *start* with the original tax return already opened.
Quit TurboTax altogether. Then open the Turbotax application. Use the top menu bar, "File -> Open Tax Rerun" and select the .tax2020 tax file you filed. Once opened, switch to the forms mode and review the 1040 and W-2's to verify that it is the tax return you filed. Then switch back to the interview mode and do the amend.
