After you file

I feel like I've tried every way 300x but you can do a detailed step by step in how you just did it? It seems like some of the buttons are different like 'start' buttons that I don't see.

Are you starting with a completed return or a blank slate before you hit "Amend a return (make changes) after it was filed and accepted by the IRS?

Do you also then go to Federal Taxes - Other Tax Situations - Amend a return - Start?

Then W-2 'Update'?

etc.

I thought my screenshots were step-by-step.  Simply go to the "Other tax situations", Amend and choose update or start and the 1040X should be produced with your starting information.
