the IRS is behind in processing returns for numerous reasons. no reliable date can be given. even the IRS WMR website sometimes gives inaccurate info but that is your best source since Turbotax uses 21 days which is totally inaccurate for many returns. even pros using high-priced software can't always give their clients accurate dates.
