It's hard to understand your run on sentence, but $8,000 is a very large refund under any circumstances. But understand that, once you file and are Accepted for processing, only the IRS controls the timing and amount of your refund. TT does not receive it.
You might consider changing the amount of your withholding, so that you do not have to wait to wait for a refund at tax time.
