After you file
The Tennessee income tax does not apply to salaries and wages, but most income from stocks, bonds and notes receivable is taxable at a flat rate of 6%. The first $1,250 in taxable income received by a single filer is exempt or the first $2,500 of joint income reported on a jointly filed return are exempt from TN tax.
If you did not need to file, it will not have an effect. You can fill this form out for someone to call you to discuss any possible refund and to remove MAX. I would wait until Wednesday or later though.
