@VaCubFan  We can't answer that question, because it is up to the IRS to enforce tax law.  Our job is to advise what tax law allows and doesn't allow.  If your daughter claimed as an independent, and as a result received Recovery Rebate Credit, (or other credits that dependents may not claim), this would be something that she should correct, even though that means paying back money.  If you and she decide not to correct it, that is not something we can enforce.  But the IRS can audit, make corrections, as well as assess penalties and interest for what amounts to false tax claims.
