I need to amend my 2020 taxes. I realized that with the software I used, I accidentally clicked "sister" for my son on the dependents section. With the update, my refund amount will not change because he will still be my dependent (17 years old). However, my main concern is how this will affect the new 2021 child tax credit (the monthly payments beginning in July). I want to use TurboTax to amend the return and want to see how much it will cost, how long it will take to process, and again how/if at all it will affect the child tax credit. Thank you!
