If you have submitted your return to the IRS, then TurboTax is out of the picture. IRS is forbidden to discuss your information with TurboTax because of privacy laws.
.You will have to contact the IRS for all of your inquiries since they are processing the return. TurboTax does not have any status information about your return.
However, there are several possibilities why the IRS may be verifying your identity. Perhaps some filed already using your information or possible Identity theft. Work with them to resolve the issue.
