Amending via TurboTax after IRS adjusted refund
Hi there,
I've been told that if I qualify for any new credits, that I should file an amended return to claim the unemployment tax break, and those credits, rather than wait for the IRS to adjust for solely the unemployment break. Unfortunately, I'm having some issues with that process after the IRS adjusted my initial refund amount.
So originally, I filed before the unemployment deduction, and I also claimed $600 in missing stimulus.
Like many, they adjusted the rebate credit away.
So my actual refund sent to me was TurboTax Expected Refund - 600.
Unfortunately, in all of the forms, TurboTax is still under the impression that my refund was their original calculated amount, thus it's shorting me 600 dollars on the 1040-X.
Is there a way for me to update the forms with my actual refund amount?
