The point is the DD info is not on the 1040. Just because Turbo Tax printed the DD information on the summary page does not mean the DD info was sent to the IRS. That summary page is for the taxpayer's benefit only. It is not included in the filing to the IRS. So the question remains, how is the IRS receiving the DD info when it is not on the 1040?
