If you did not receive the first and second stimulus, you can claim a recovery rebate credit on your 2020 return. Here are the steps:
In the TurboTax Online program,
- After sign in to your account, select Pick up where you left off
- At the right upper corner, under Search, type in "stimulus" and Enter
- Select Jump to stimulus
- Follow prompts to answer the questions and enter the amounts.
As far as the 3rd stimulus payment, the IRS has been distributing the payments in phases. The fifth round of Economic Impact Payments was sent April 9, 2021. The IRS started sending the first batch of payments with an official payment date of March 17. If you haven’t received one yet, it doesn’t mean you won’t. They will send the third stimulus check each week to eligible individuals as they continue to process tax returns. Payments are sent by direct deposit or mail as a check or debit card.
