I have the same issue. My taxes were accepted on the 22nd of Feb. 7 weeks past and still no response from irs. I have contacted irs and was able to talk to a live person. After taking sometime to explain my case very patiently to the irs agent I was put on hold.
when the agent come back - i received a one liner answer.
“within 10 to 12 weeks from the date of your filing, you will receive a refund or acknowledgement from irs.”
It is my interpretation of this message that my case is still under processing just like all others out there facing similar issues. I have read an article recently which says early filers are at a disadvantage compared to mid season filers. Irs is not processing cases on a first filed first process basis. The whole system is messed up
