What do you mean by "the amount of state taxes I owe from my refund." It's not possible to pay state taxes due out of a Federal refund, so I'm not understanding what you're talking about. Does your state tax return show that you owe tax to your state? If so, that cannot be paid out of Federal refund. Any state taxes owed to the state have to be paid by you by whatever method your state allows.
