After you file
The IRS says NOT to Amend Your Return for the Unemployment Income Exclusion.
They will be sending out the additional refunds as a separate payment starting in May. Your Underpayment Penalty will most likely also be included in this payment.

An amended return does not 'catch up' to your original return and correct it. It is processed separately and takes several weeks. You will probably get your additional refund from the IRS before your amended return is processed.

Since you haven't filed your state return yet, you could wait until closer to the deadline to do so to be sure that the most recent updates are reflected.
