There are different types of tax transcripts available from the IRS.
- Tax Return Transcript - shows most line items including your adjusted gross income (AGI) from your original Form 1040-series tax return as filed, along with any forms and schedules. It doesn't show changes made after you filed your original return.
- Tax Account Transcript - shows basic data such as return type, marital status, adjusted gross income, taxable income and all payment types. It also shows changes made after you filed your original return.
If you have a Tax Account Transcript, and there were changes made to your return by the IRS, or if you filed an amended return, then the transcript would not match what was in your TurboTax account. What is in your TurboTax account would only change if you made changes to your tax return in TurboTax.
