I filed my 2018 taxes with TurboTax. Now, when I download the 2018 1040 from the site, the amount owed does not match the amount paid and amount on the IRS transcript.
Called TurboTax and they told me that
“supporting a permanent snap shot of 1040 tax returns at time of filing is not a feature of their product, if you want to know exactly what your 1040 looked like when you submit your returns you have to save your own copy at that point in time.”
What?? Does this sound right?? I didn’t save a copy when I filed since I assumed I would always have access online.
Does anyone know why this would happen and how it can be corrected??
