I amended my return to include the recovery rebate credit. Now the rebate shows, and it shows my taxes as being reduced, but I shows the reduced amount as being owed, when I have already paid more than that with my original return. It seems that there should be a place to put in the tax I paid when I filed my original return. Turbotax show that both my taxes owed/refund as zero, but now I should be receiving a refund due to overpayment of taxes now that I am getting the recovery rebate. Should I file the taxes as is, and because it is an amended return, I will get it as a refund rather than a credit?
