I have already filed my 2020 tax return, Form 1040, and received my refund.
I have unemployment benefits that were originally taxed, and now I need to file a Form 1040-x to amend the tax on the unemployment. Opened the tax return file with the AMEND return. The unemployment benefits are correctly removed from the taxable income. No data is transferred to the 1040X form. Do I have to fill in that form manually?
TurboTax software prevents me from electronic filing, claiming I've already filed and it was accepted. Do I need to file the Form 1040X by mail? What forms do I need to include in that package being sent to the IRS by mail?
