In TurboTax Online, to select the option that your dependent is your granddaughter please follow the steps below.
- Click the orange button that says "Take me to my return."
- Scroll down to your dependent granddaughter's name.
- Select Edit next to her name.
- You will see a question that asks "What is (granddaughter's name) relationship to you."
- Select the option that says"Another person (includes half and steprelatives and inlaws).
- You will see a drop down box that says "The person I support is my" then select grandchild.
