After you file
If you filed with TurboTax Online, TurboTax has updated the software so when you log back in, you'll see a different amount than what you initially submitted. The difference in the refund amounts is what you're eligible to get back.
If you haven't filed a tax return, you could enter your information in TurboTax Online and see your tax refund.

The IRS is now stating: If you have already filed your 2020 Form 1040 or 1040-SR, you should not file an amended return at this time. The IRS will issue additional guidance as soon as possible.
- The IRS has not said when the additional refunds will be issued or if you have to do anything to get that refund.
As part of the recently passed American Rescue Plan, the first $10,200 worth of unemployment payments are now tax-free for households with annual incomes less than $150,000. This expanded tax relief begins this year, starting for taxpayers filing returns after January 1, 2020.
